Dhamar: Dhamar Industrial Technical Institute celebrated on Wednesday the graduation of its "Technical Innovators" class, comprising 209 graduates at the technical level from the departments of Automotive Electricity, Vehicle Mechanics, General Electricity, Industrial Electronic Control, and Interior Design, for the academic year 1447 AH.
According to Yemen News Agency, Province Undersecretary Mohammed Abdul-Razzaq praised the pioneering role of the technical and vocational education and training sector in building the nation's renaissance, emphasizing that investing in human capital is the winning strategy for confronting current economic challenges. He considered the graduation of this group from the institute a celebration of injecting new blood and creative minds into the veins of the national economy, noting that these specializations represent the actual and urgent needs of the labor market and make a difference in the quality of local production and industrial innovation.
Abdul-Razzaq emphasized the government's commitment to the technical education sector, which he described as a "safe bridge" to self-sufficiency. He explained that this graduating class, along with others equipped with modern applied skills, is expected to enhance the efficiency of technical and industrial services in the governorate. He expressed hope that the graduates would continue to develop their skills and keep pace with rapid technological advancements, stressing that today's job market only recognizes the most skilled and innovative individuals.
The Undersecretary commended the efforts of the leadership of the technical education sector and the teaching staff at the technical and vocational institutes for their dedication to continuing this type of education and for their exceptional efforts in preparing this graduating class despite the challenging circumstances. He affirmed that the local authority will remain a source of support and assistance to educational institutions to ensure the continuity of their mission in building a generation equipped with both knowledge and skills.
For his part, Ahmed al-Jarfi, the head of the technical and vocational education and training sector in Dhamar, considered the graduation of a new class of students from the Industrial Technical Institute a significant milestone in strengthening the outputs of technical education and supplying the labor market with qualified professionals capable of contributing to the development process. He pointed out that the current economic and security conditions necessitate a doubling of efforts in the technical and vocational education and training sector, as it is one of the most effective tools for confronting challenges and achieving self-sufficiency. He noted that graduates represent qualified productive forces and a skilled workforce.
Al-Jarfi stated that the technical and vocational education sector, under the guidance of the Ministry and local authorities, is proceeding with its well-planned expansion and the introduction of new specialized programs that keep pace with the demands of the local and regional labor market and respond to the rapid transformations in various fields. He called on the graduates to continue their contributions by utilizing the skills they have acquired to serve their country.
Meanwhile, in the graduates' address delivered by Jamal Al-Shajaa, he emphasized that the graduation of the "Technical Innovators" class is a pivotal moment in their academic and professional journey, a culmination of years of hard work and dedication, and the acquisition of technical skills and a sense of responsibility for building the future. Al-Shajaa pointed out that the institute was not merely an educational institution, but a nurturing environment for creativity and skill development. He commended the administrative and teaching staff for their role in preparing the graduates, the support of the parents, and the efforts of the leadership of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training sector in the governorate, the institute's deanship, and the trainers.
The ceremony, which was attended by the Deputy Head of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training sector, Sultan al-Imad, the Dean of the Industrial Institute, Abdulkarim Zalaat, the Dean of the Commercial Technical Institute, Nasser al-Majhali, and the deputy deans, included a poem recited by graduate Ammar al-Fishani. The top-achieving students from the institute in the fields of automotive electricity, industrial control, and interior design were also honored, along with the graduating class and the institute's teaching staff.
