Dhamar:Tribes and sheikhs from the Wusab Al-Safil district in Dhamar province gathered on October 15, 2026, to declare a state of general mobilization in response to what they describe as Saudi escalation. They pledged to match any escalation with their own actions.
According to Yemen News Agency, the participants at the gathering emphasized their unity against Saudi forces and their affiliates. They expressed complete readiness to bolster the fronts and called for increased mobilization and military training, while commending the military operations conducted by their armed forces.
The tribes condemned what they claim are abuses against prisoners, injured fighters, and deceased combatants, along with Saudi airstrikes in Yemen, which they regard as war crimes over the past 12 years. They expressed continued support for their leadership and armed forces, vowing to persist in their efforts until the end of what they describe as aggression and blockade, and the recovery of looted resources. They also congratulated residents of Taiz's districts on their perceived liberation from Saudi control.
