Sana'a: A broad meeting in Ibb Governorate, chaired by Local Council Secretary-General Amin Al-Warafi, discussed on Monday preparations and arrangements for commemorating the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad's birthday for the year 1448 AH.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting was attended by Deputy Governors Qassem Al-Masawi and Mohammed Al-Marisi, Ibb University President Dr. Nasr Al-Hujaili, Assistant Commander of the Fourth Military Region Brigadier General Mohammed Al-Khaled, Governorate Mobilization Official Abdul-Fattah Ghallab, and executive office members. It approved the formation of a main committee to prepare for the occasion, along with subcommittees at the directorate level. Tasks and responsibilities were defined to ensure the success of the events across the governorate.
The meeting reviewed mechanisms for implementing the celebration program, distributing duties among relevant authorities, and coordinating efforts to enhance preparation and organization. Ensuring broad community participation was also emphasized to reflect the significance of the occasion among the people of Ibb.
Al-Warafi stressed the importance of unifying efforts by official and community bodies to ensure the success of the Prophet's Birthday events in a manner befitting the occasion and its importance among Yemenis. He noted that commemorating the anniversary reflects the close connection with the Prophet Muhammad, following his values and principles in building society and strengthening unity.
He called for early preparation, organized implementation of activities, and enhanced coordination between central and local committees to ensure the success of planned programs. He urged everyone to assume their responsibilities and work as a team to present the occasion in a dignified manner.
For his part, the Governorate Mobilization Official stated that the Prophet's Birthday anniversary represents a spiritual and educational occasion to strengthen awareness of the Prophet's life and draw inspiration from his values of patience, brotherhood, justice, and mercy. He emphasized the importance of using the occasion to reinforce faith-based identity and social cohesion.
He added that the formed committees will work according to an integrated plan covering all districts to implement organized and distinctive events reflecting the significance of the occasion, calling on all institutions, organizations, and community groups to actively contribute to the success of the celebrations.
