Sana'a: The Deputy Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Judge Ibrahim Al-Shami, discussed on Monday with the Chairman of the General Authority for Endowments and Guidance, Sheikh Abdulmajeed Al-Houthi, aspects of coordination and cooperation in areas related to improving judicial performance and strengthening the justice system with qualified personnel.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting addressed mechanisms for coordination and enhancing cooperation between the Ministry and the Authority in the field of training and qualification, including the preparation and training of Islamic scholars and academics in judicial matters. This initiative aims to develop cadres capable of effectively contributing to judicial work, improving performance, expediting case processing, and facilitating related procedures in accordance with integrated legal, judicial, and Sharia-based principles.
Judge Al-Shami emphasized the importance of focusing on training and qualification programs for Sharia and academic personnel, considering them an essential support pillar of the justice system. He noted that judicial work requires qualified professionals who combine religious understanding, legal knowledge, and the ability to handle cases and judicial procedures efficiently and responsibly.
He explained that strengthening judicial institutions with qualified personnel represents an important step toward improving performance, accelerating case resolution, reducing the burden on courts, and facilitating citizens' access to more effective and higher-quality judicial services.
The Deputy Minister of Justice and Human Rights also highlighted the importance of enabling Sharia scholars and academics to acquire the necessary judicial skills and knowledge, in line with the requirements of judicial work, contributing to achieving the desired goals of serving justice and society.
For his part, Sheikh Al-Houthi affirmed the General Authority for Endowments' commitment to supporting efforts aimed at capacity building, personnel qualification, and strengthening integration between official institutions in fields that serve society and enhance institutional performance. He also stressed the need to pay attention to scholarly and Sharia-based cadres and to provide opportunities for their training and qualification in judicial fields, enabling them to play their role in serving justice, contributing to dispute resolution, and facilitating procedures in accordance with Sharia and legal regulations.
