Sanhan: A cultural symposium was held in the Great Square area of Sanhan and Bani Bahlul district in Sana'a governorate to mark the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad's migration (Hijra), with participation from local mobilization and religious officials.
According to Yemen News Agency, the symposium was organized in coordination with the district's General Mobilization Department and was attended by Abdulhamid Al-Ghayathi, a member of the governorate's Mobilization Committee, and Radwan Al-Muhaqari, Director of the Mosques and Preachers Department in the district.
Speakers at the event emphasized the religious and historical significance of the Hijra, describing it as a pivotal event in Islamic history that marked a major turning point in the spread of Islam and its message. The discussion highlighted lessons derived from the event, including values of sacrifice, devotion, courage, and steadfastness, as well as the importance of drawing inspiration from the life and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).
Participants noted that the Hijra represented a major historical transformation that contributed to the establishment and expansion of the Islamic message. They stressed the importance of reflecting on its meanings and moral lessons. The symposium concluded with calls to strengthen adherence to religious values and principles, and to promote unity, resilience, and commitment to ethical teachings derived from the prophetic tradition.
