Discussion on Supporting, Developing Performance of Civil Defense Branch in Al-Mahwit Province

Al-mahwit: A meeting in Al-Mahwit province today discussed the conditions and needs of the Civil Defense Authority branch, as well as the difficulties facing its work.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting included the Secretary-General of the local council in the province, Dr. Ali Al-Zaykam, the province's deputies Hammoud Shamilan, the head of the Civil Defense Authority Brigadier General Fadhl Al-Sa'di, personnel from the province's security administration, and the Civil Defense Authority branch. It addressed the remedies to overcome difficulties and ways to enhance performance levels and raise readiness to enable the branch to carry out its humanitarian and national duties in facing disasters, accidents, and emergencies.

The meeting also focused on enhancing safety and security measures at oil and gas derivative stations, which is crucial for the preservation of lives and property. Another key point of discussion was the awareness and training program planned to be implemented in cooperation with civil society organizations. This program aims to raise community awareness of disaster prevention methods and enhance the popular civil defense system, ultimately supporting civil defense efforts.

During the meeting, Dr. Al-Zaykam affirmed the local authority's commitment to supporting the Civil Defense Authority branch and providing its needs according to available capabilities. He emphasized the importance of enhancing coordination between relevant authorities, security agencies, and community organizations to effectively face disasters and emergencies.
