Sana'a: The General Authority for Water Resources and Facilities and its Sana'a branch organized a cultural and commemorative evening marking the anniversary of the birth of Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family.
According to Yemen News Agency, the event featured speeches from key figures including the Authority Deputy Chairman Eng. Abdulkarim Al-Sufyani, who emphasized the importance of commemorating the Prophet's birthday as an opportunity to draw inspiration from his values and morals. He stated that this occasion is not just a ceremonial event but a renewal of allegiance to the Prophet and a call to improve efforts in preserving water resources as a religious and national duty for future generations.
Al-Sufyani encouraged employees of the Authority and its branches to actively participate in the major central event marking the Prophet's birthday, reflecting the deep connection of the Yemeni people to the Prophet's teachings and Islamic law. The event was attended by notable figures such as the Director General of the Office of the President of the Water Resources Authority, Riyadh Yaqout.
Director General of the Authority's Sana'a Branch, Ridan Al-Hadi, highlighted that the occasion provides an opportunity to renew the relationship with the Messenger of Allah and draw lessons from his life. He stressed that the Prophet's teachings guide the nation from division to unity and responsibility. Al-Hadi also referenced the words of Leader Abdul-Malik Badr Al-Din Al-Houthi, emphasizing Yemen's firm stance against blockades and aggression.
Prominent members of the Yemeni Scholars Association, Sheikh Saleh Al-Khawlani and Sheikh Ali Al-Mutri, described the event as an exceptional spiritual occasion to renew bonds with the Prophet and draw from his noble life. They highlighted the need to emulate the Prophet's life and uphold the morals and conduct he established for his nation, especially amid current challenges facing Yemen and the wider region.
The scholars called on all Yemenis to engage in activities marking the Prophet's birthday, emphasizing the importance of a large turnout to convey a message of resilience and faith-based identity to adversaries. They reaffirmed that Yemenis' love for the Prophet is a deep commitment to his morals, principles, and support for truth and the oppressed.
