Hajjah: Umm Al-Mu'minin Khadijah Complex and Al-Zahraa and Al-Nasr schools in Hajjah governorate center organized events on Sunday to mark the annual anniversary of the Martyr of the Qur'an, Sayyed Hussein Badr al-Din al-Houthi. Deputy Governor Ahmed Al-Akhfash described the Martyr Leader as a martyr of a just cause and the Qur'anic project, and a pioneer of freedom, independence, and dignity for the Yemeni people and the Islamic nation at a time marked by submission and subservience.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Akhfash stressed the importance of commemorating the anniversary of the Martyr Leader, considering him a Qur'anic school with far-sighted vision who sensed the dangers posed by enemies and set forth appropriate solutions to confront them. Al-Akhfash noted that the Martyr of the Qur'an acted out of a sense of responsibility amid the challenges and threats surrounding the nation, launching his Qur'anic project with confidence and faith, and placing his trust in God in confronting projects of domination and global arrogance.
Speeches delivered during the events highlighted the meanings and significance of commemorating the anniversary of the Martyr of the Qur'an, drawing inspiration from the values of steadfastness, sacrifice, and giving embodied in the Qur'anic project of the Martyr Leader. They also addressed the biography of the Martyr Leader, his heroic and intellectual stances, and the battle of awareness he waged throughout his jihadist life against the American-Zionist colonial project in the region.
The speakers affirmed that commemorating the anniversary of the Martyr Leader represents a revival of the values and principles upheld by his enlightening Qur'anic project in defense of the nation, and a key moment to draw lessons of sacrifice and dedication in confronting current challenges. The events, attended by the directors of the Grievances Redress Authority branch Judge Abdulmajid Sharaf al-Din and the Statistics Authority branch Abdulmajid Mawans, along with deputies of the education sector and the Zakat Office, featured various segments, chants, and poetic recitations marking the occasion.
