Events in Sa’fan District Mark Prophet’s Birthday with Celebrations and Protests

Sana'a: Events held in several areas of Sa'fan District to mark the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, were attended by many residents, including social figures and educational leaders. The areas of Madoul, Bani Jareen, and Bani Ishaq hosted these celebratory gatherings.

According to Yemen News Agency, District Director Mohammed Al-Bahr spoke at the event, highlighting that commemorating the Prophet's birthday reflects the significant place of the Messenger in the hearts of the Yemeni people. He emphasized the connection to the Prophet's message, which guided people from ignorance to faith and laid the foundation for a society based on the Quran and justice. Al-Bahr also linked the significance of the occasion to the Yemeni people's ongoing support for Muslim issues, particularly the Palestinian cause.

Al-Bahr urged a conscious reading of the Prophet's biography, suggesting it offers valuable lessons for nation-building, confronting adversaries, and maintaining faith-based identity. He noted that the Prophet's life serves as an inspiration for supporting the oppressed and resisting domination.

Speakers at the event addressed the Prophet's life, his legacy, and the importance of commemorating his birth anniversary. They stressed the need for awareness of the Quran and the Prophet's teachings to build a strong Muslim identity. The Prophet's birthday was seen as a chance to teach younger generations about his stance against tyranny and his efforts to establish justice.

The event included a poem and chants, and was followed by a protest condemning offenses against the Holy Quran and Islamic sanctities. In Bani Araf, a similar event was organized, featuring speeches and a protest with community and student participation. District Director Al-Bahr and Abdullah Muayad, Director of Personnel Affairs, attended and highlighted the spiritual significance of the occasion, emphasizing the Yemeni people's resilience and commitment to their faith.
