Bayda: The Offices of Economy, Industry, Investment, Health, and Environment, along with al-Thawra Hospital and the Health Institute in Bayda governorate, organized a commemorative event on Saturday marking the Martyr’s Anniversary 1447 AH under the slogan ‘Our Martyrs Are Our Great Ones.’
According to Yemen News Agency, during the event, governor Abdullah Idris affirmed that commemorating Martyr’s Anniversary reflects the highest meanings of loyalty and gratitude to those who sacrificed their lives in defense of the nation and its sovereignty. He highlighted that this occasion serves as a spiritual and educational station from which Yemenis draw lessons of patience and steadfastness, particularly as it coincides with a historic stage for the Arab and Islamic nation. This period underscores Yemen’s heroic stance in supporting the Palestinian cause and its resistance to U.S.-Zionist actions.
Governor Idris further emphasized the governorate leadership’s commitment to caring for the families of martyrs as a recognition of their sacrifices. Meanwhile, Dr. Nasser al-Ajeeli, Director of al-Thawra General Hospital, described the anniversary as a symbol of sacrifice and courage in confronting aggression. He affirmed Yemen’s steadfastness and continued support for Palestine and Gaza.
A representative of the martyrs’ families, Anas al-Muwalad, highlighted the faith-driven and national sacrifices of the martyrs that brought dignity and victory. He stressed that commemorating them is an act of loyalty and a renewal of commitment to continue their path in defending Yemen’s freedom and sovereignty.
