Sana'a: The local authority in Sana'a New District organized an expanded meeting and a preparatory event to commemorate Yawm al-Wilayah (Ghadir Day) under the slogan "Whoever I am his master (mawla), then this Ali is his master."

According to Yemen News Agency, the event was attended by the deputy governor of the province, Ahmed Al-Samat, and Dr. Fouad Naji, the Deputy Head of the General Authority for Endowments and Guidance and a member of the Association of Yemeni Scholars. Dr. Naji highlighted the importance of commemorating Yawm al-Wilayah to recall lessons in allegiance to God, His Messenger, and Imam Ali, while disavowing the enemies of God and the nation.

He elaborated on the significance of celebrating this religious occasion, emphasizing the close connection of Yemenis to Imam Ali (peace be upon him). Dr. Naji stressed the necessity of following the path of those whom God and His Messenger commanded to follow, urging this allegiance to be reflected as a behavioral, moral, and practical commitment.

Dr. Naji also called for broad participation in the events commemorating Yawm al-Wilayah and underscored the need to benefit from their awareness and cultural content. This, he noted, would enhance community awareness and consolidate faith-based and national values within society.
