Eye of Humanity Center Reports Over 54,000 Civilian Casualties in Yemen Conflict

Sanaa: The Eye of Humanity Center for Rights and Development has unveiled alarming statistics regarding the impact of the Saudi-Zionist-American aggression on Yemen, spanning over 3,900 days.

According to Yemen News Agency, the report highlights a staggering toll on human life, with a total of 54,219 civilian casualties reported. This includes 19,446 individuals who have lost their lives and 34,773 who have been injured during this period of conflict. The breakdown reveals that 4,244 children were among the martyrs, with an additional 5,401 children wounded. Male casualties include 12,659 martyrs and 26,135 injured, while female casualties stand at 2,543 martyrs and 3,237 wounded.

The report further details extensive damage to infrastructure, with 15 airports and 16 seaports being targeted. Other critical infrastructure affected includes 488 power stations and generators, and 716 communication networks and stations. The aggression has also led to the targeting of 3,577 water tanks and stations, 2,501 government facilities, and 8,869 roads and bridges.

Industrial and commercial sectors have not been spared, with 467 factories, 642 fuel tankers, and 16,686 commercial establishments coming under attack. The agricultural sector has suffered significantly, with 503 poultry and livestock farms and 14,231 agricultural fields being affected. The conflict has also resulted in damage to 12,196 vehicles, 581 fishing boats, and 1,172 food warehouses, among other assets.

Furthermore, the report notes severe damage to residential areas, with 622,354 homes being targeted. Educational and health facilities have also been heavily impacted, with 203 university facilities, 475 hospitals, and 1,487 schools suffering damage. Cultural and religious sites have not been immune, with 2,018 mosques, 301 archaeological sites, and 75 media outlets being affected by the aggression.
