Graduation Research Discussion Marking Milestone for Al Mahwit University Accounting Students

Al mahwit: The Department of Accounting at the Faculty of Administrative and Human Sciences, Al Mahwit University, held today a discussion of the graduation research of the first batch of students, as part of the requirements for obtaining a bachelor's degree in accounting.

According to Yemen News Agency, the research, supervised by Dr. Mujahid Al-Ma'afa, covered a number of modern topics, most notably the impact of smart accounting on achieving sustainable development, the role of artificial intelligence in auditing accounts, and the impact of automation on reducing tax evasion.

The President of the University, Dr. Mohammed Al-Shalabi, affirmed that the graduation of male and female students represents the beginning of a new phase of continuous learning and self-development. He expressed hope that the graduates would continue to acquire skills and knowledge and keep pace with rapid developments in the fields of accounting and modern technologies, enabling them to contribute effectively to serving society and achieving sustainable development.

Dr. Al-Shalabi stressed the importance of directing scientific research towards priority issues in society, adhering to scientific methodology, and linking academic education outputs to the needs of the financial and development sectors.

The discussions were attended by several notable figures, including the Vice President of the University for Student Affairs, Dr. Ali Al-Awadi; the Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Mohammed San'a; and the Secretary General of the University, Abdul Latif Al-Akhram. Also present were the Cultural Advisor to the University President, Khaled Al-Qazhi; the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Abdul Malik Mazarik; the Director of the Governor's Office, Mohammed Izz al-Din; the Vice Dean of the Faculty for Student Affairs, Dr. Yahya Al-Tayyari; and a number of academic and administrative staff.

The discussion committee, chaired by Dr. Ali Al-Awadi and including Dr. Rizq Al-San'ani, listened to the students' presentations. Their academic discussions reflected the students' level of academic achievement and resulted in the approval of several observations and directives aimed at developing the research and enhancing its applied value.
