Sana'a: The local authority of Hadramout Governorate commemorated on Saturday in Sana'a the anniversary of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, for the year 1448 AH.
According to Yemen News Agency, Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council, Dhaifallah Rassam, emphasized the importance of commemorating the Prophet's birthday as a means to draw lessons and inspiration from his life, struggles, and moral character. He highlighted the significance of unity among Yemeni tribes and the armed forces in defending Yemen, restoring its sovereignty and independence, and working toward ending the aggression and lifting the blockade.
Rassam urged all Yemenis and free Yemeni tribes to unite their ranks and support the struggle for liberation and independence against the Saudi and American forces, as well as their allies and mercenaries.
The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Local Administration and Rural Development, Nasser Al-Mahdhar, and featured remarks by Hadramout Governor, Luqman Baras. Governor Baras reiterated the importance of the occasion as an opportunity to recall values such as patience, jihad, and solidarity, and to strengthen resilience in confronting challenges. He emphasized the need to follow the Prophet's example in development and nation-building.
Governor Baras also noted the unique traditions of Hadramout Governorate in commemorating the Prophet's birthday, highlighting its significance in the region's history and spiritual heritage. He pointed out the conspiracies against the Yemeni people and stressed the need for unity alongside the revolutionary and political leadership in Sana'a to confront external threats.
He warned against Saudi projects aimed at recruiting residents of Hadramout and Yemen for its colonial ambitions, urging the tribes of Hadramout to protect their sons from being involved in futile battles serving the Saudi agenda.
