Hajjah Governorate Condemns Saudi Raids on Abs District

Hajjah:The local authority in Hajjah Governorate has condemned the Saudi-led airstrikes on the Abs District, which resulted in injuries to three citizens and targeted several villages with cluster bombs, which are internationally prohibited.

According to Yemen News Agency, the local authority issued a statement detailing that the Saudi aircraft conducted several raids on the Abs District and its surrounding villages. These attacks caused injuries to three citizens, inflicted damage on homes and both public and private properties, and instilled fear among women and children.

The statement criticized the use of cluster bombs by Saudi forces, labeling it a new crime in its ongoing aggression against the Yemeni people, and a blatant violation of international and humanitarian laws. It described the attacks on civilians as a war crime and an attempt to sway the people of Hajjah from their national positions against the ongoing aggression and siege.

The local authority placed full responsibility for the incident on the Saudi forces and its consequences, urging the United Nations and international bodies to condemn these actions and push for an end to the aggression and siege. The statement affirmed that such crimes would only strengthen the resolve of the people in Hajjah to defend their homeland, praising the resilience and awareness of the residents of Abs District.
