Abs: The Health and Environment Office branch in Abs, alongside Abs General Hospital in Hajjah governorate, organized a cultural evening event on Thursday to commemorate the birthday of Prophet Muhammad.
According to Yemen News Agency, the event was graced by the presence of Deputy Speaker of Parliament Abdulrahman Al-Jumai and Minister of Oil and Minerals Dr. Abdullah Al-Amir. During the event, Minister of Health and Environment Dr. Ali Shaiban emphasized the significance of the occasion as a moment to reaffirm faith and responsibly embody the teachings of the religion.
Dr. Shaiban highlighted the importance of celebrating the Prophet's birth, acknowledging the Prophet's role in guiding people from darkness to enlightenment. He stressed the need to follow the Prophet's example and educate younger generations about his noble life. The minister remarked that the observance of the Prophet's birthday by Yemenis is a testament to their devotion to Allah and His Messenger, their commitment to the righteous path, and their allegiance to religious leaders who follow the Muhammadan approach.
Furthermore, Dr. Shaiban urged the translation of the Prophet's values and morals into practical actions by enhancing patient care and intensifying efforts to alleviate their suffering. He encouraged widespread participation in the central events planned for 12 Rabi' al-Awwal.
Hajjah governor Hilal Al-Soufi also emphasized the continuous engagement in activities and effective participation in central celebrations of the Prophet's birthday. He stated that the commemoration serves as an expression of joy and reverence, presenting an image that reflects the Prophet's esteemed status among Yemenis.
Governor Al-Soufi called for the Muslim community to draw inspiration from the Prophet's life and to fortify their connection to the Muhammadan message, which significantly transformed the Arabian Peninsula and spread globally. He encouraged emulation of the values, principles, and virtues embodied by the Prophet.
He also commended the people of Abs for their dedication to defending the country and their active involvement in activities promoting the faith identity, particularly the celebrations marking the Prophet's birthday.
