Sana'a: The anniversary of the Prophet's birthday arrives each year, not only as an occasion to recall the life of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), but also as a renewed spiritual and humanitarian milestone, drawing inspiration from the values and principles he established, foremost among them solidarity, benevolence, human care, preserving dignity, and elevating life.

According to Yemen News Agency, these values are manifested most profoundly in the health sector, which is directly linked to human life and the right to care and treatment. The meanings of mercy and solidarity are transformed into practices and services that address people's needs and alleviate the burdens of illness.

From this perspective, preparations for commemorating the Prophet's birthday extend beyond mere celebrations and religious events to encompass practical efforts that reflect these values in reality. This includes enhancing the readiness of hospitals and health facilities, implementing free medical camps, providing treatment and examinations for patients, and improving the overall level of healthcare offered to citizens.

Thus, celebrating this occasion becomes a practical embodiment of the meanings of mercy, benevolence, and solidarity, reaffirming that serving humanity, caring for health, and preserving life are among the highest values embodied in the Prophet Muhammad's message.

Various regions and governorates witnessed the implementation of free medical and treatment camps targeting the poorest families and remote areas, providing medical care, medications, and surgical procedures as part of the Prophet's principles of benevolence.

Health facilities were also adorned with illuminated displays and religious symbols, and medical and nursing staff in emergency and operating rooms were mobilized to provide round-the-clock services to citizens and participants in the central events.

This spirit of solidarity demonstrated that the health sector is not merely a service system, but an institution bearing a noble humanitarian message, drawing its essence from the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), who urged visiting the sick, alleviating the suffering of the afflicted, and caring for the vulnerable.

Since the beginning of Safar, the Ministry of Health and Environment has been implementing exceptional programs and activities aimed at easing the suffering of patients, particularly those from impoverished backgrounds, and bringing joy to their hearts and the hearts of their families, embodying the spirit of the Prophet's message.

The health sector ensured that public and private hospitals celebrated the Prophet's birthday by offering significant discounts on their medical services, out of love for the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).

In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the Minister of Health and Environment, Dr. Ali Shaiban, affirmed that the health sector's participation in this great occasion is not limited to celebratory events, but also includes establishing medical camps and providing free medical services in various hospitals and health centers.

He explained that health offices in the capital and governorates have been instructed to implement medical and surgical camps to alleviate the suffering of citizens given the difficult circumstances the country is experiencing. He added that the health sector recognizes the significance of this occasion and the importance of this sentiment being reflected positively in serving citizens by adhering to the noble values of the Prophet, including mercy, kindness, generosity, giving, honesty, trustworthiness, and dedication to work. He stressed the importance of upholding these lofty values, which achieve the goals of preserving human health, and called upon all health personnel and leaders to uphold these principles and noble values.

Regarding the major central events to be held on the 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal in various governorates, Dr. Saad confirmed that medical teams are currently being prepared for the events in different locations. He explained that hospitals, field camps, and mobile clinics equipped with medical supplies, medications, ambulances, and intensive care units will be set up.
