Hodeida: Solar power initiatives were launched in Al-Zaydiyah district, with the inauguration of a solar power system at a rural hospital and the opening of four classrooms at the 21st of September School. Hodeida province undersecretary Ghalib Hamza and Commander of the Northern Axis Major General Fadhel Al-Dhayani presided over the events, marking a significant step in enhancing local healthcare and education infrastructure.
According to Yemen News Agency, the 120-kilowatt solar power system, costing 17 million riyals and funded by the hospital administration, aims to improve healthcare service stability. Officials praised the hospital administration's commitment to addressing the facility's needs. Dr. Yassin Al-Ahdal, Director of the Rural Hospital, noted that the system would fulfill the hospital's energy demands, aiding in the operation of departments and medical equipment, thereby enhancing patient care.
In the educational sector, the inauguration of four classrooms at the 21st of September School in Mahal al-Ashkhar village was completed at a cost of seven million riyals. This project was financed by the local community and a benefactor. Officials highlighted the community's role in supporting education, stressing the importance of pooling resources to advance educational processes across the district. Mohammed al-Hajj, head of the district's education sector, stated that the new classrooms would provide necessary space for students and facilitate the school's operations.
