Inauguration of Al-Amshiyah Multi-Purpose Cooperative Association Marks New Era for Farmers

Harf sufyan: The Al-Amshiyah Multi-Purpose Agricultural Cooperative Association was officially inaugurated in Harf Sufyan District, Amran Governorate. During the inauguration ceremony, the administrative and supervisory boards of the association were elected, and the internal regulations and desired objectives of the association's establishment were reviewed within the framework of efforts to support farmers and provide their needs through an institutional cooperative system that serves this aspect with high efficiency.

According to Yemen News Agency, the District Director, Ali Hawaidah, emphasized that cooperatives are a fundamental pillar in construction and development. He stressed the necessity of advancing cooperative work by improving the level of management, activating it as required, and creating investment projects that enhance the association's sustainability, aligning with the state's directions toward achieving self-sufficiency in the agricultural and plant sectors.

Meanwhile, the Director of the Northeast Region at the Binyan Foundation, Khaled Al-Mu'ayyad, and the Foundation's coordinator, Salim Al-Qalisi, highlighted that the Al-Amshiyah Association will be a significant contributor to the construction and development process. They noted the importance of cooperative work in achieving development, utilizing available facilities to advance agricultural activity, and adopting community initiatives that meet the aspirations of the community.

For his part, the Secretary of the Agricultural Cooperative Union branch in the governorate, Ahmed Ayyash, praised the efforts made in preparing for and establishing the association, appreciating the cooperation of the local authority and relevant parties in supporting this step.

Additionally, the Director of Cooperatives Administration at the Social Affairs and Labor Office, Ali Al-Faqih, addressed the importance of institutional work in enhancing and organizing the path of local development. He noted the efforts made in preparing for and establishing the association for the residents of Harf Sufyan District and the Al-Amshiyah area in particular.

Furthermore, the Director of Initiatives in the governorate, Hashim Al-Raidi, spoke about the role that cooperative associations will play in activating community participation in development, mobilizing for launching development initiatives, and enhancing their role in serving the service and agricultural sectors and environmental protection, while improving the utilization of available resources and capabilities in the district.
