Interventions Unit Launches Distribution of Cement, Diesel to Support Community Projects in Ibb

Sana'a: The Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit of the Ministry of Local Administration and Rural Development initiated the distribution of 13,000 bags of cement and 25,000 liters of diesel to bolster community projects across several districts in the Ibb governorate.

According to Yemen News Agency, the launch event saw Ibb governor Abdulwahid Salah underscore that the support for community-led initiatives aligns with the directives of the Leader of the Revolution and the President of the Supreme Political Council. The goal is to prioritize service-oriented projects that contribute to sustainable development.

Governor Salah stated that these efforts demonstrate the government's commitment to enhancing local development and implementing service projects that address the essential needs of citizens. He explained that the distribution of cement and diesel aims to facilitate the implementation of crucial projects in sectors such as water, roads, and healthcare. Additionally, it seeks to strengthen collaboration between local authorities and communities. The governor emphasized the necessity of coordinated efforts to achieve inclusive and sustainable development across all districts.

Ahmed Nayef, the Interventions Unit's representative in Ibb, reiterated the unit's ongoing support for community initiatives, particularly in remote mountainous areas. This support is intended to alleviate the hardships faced by residents due to inadequate infrastructure and limited access to services.

Mohammed al-Khaled, Director of Yarim district, lauded the critical developmental role played by the Central Interventions Unit and the Ministry of Local Administration in supporting grassroots projects. He also acknowledged the dedication of local authorities to executing service and development initiatives.

Abdullah Ubad, Director of Community Initiatives in Yarim district, highlighted the significance of the support provided in the form of cement and diesel. He stressed the importance of continued backing for such initiatives, which encourage increased community participation, especially in rural areas, to complete more projects that meet local needs.
