Sana'a: The CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), Hamid Pourda, stated that Iranian oil loading and export operations increased by approximately 10% during the war, and that oil prices trended upward despite the heavy bombardment.
According to Yemen News Agency, Pourda remarked that for several years, official production and sales statistics have not been announced. This decision aims to prevent adversaries from acquiring accurate data on the country's oil industry performance, alongside addressing security considerations.
He further noted that Iran's oil production is higher than figures reported by some official institutions or international publications. The actual production exceeds these reported quantities.
Discussing oil exports during the Ramadan War (Iran-Iraq War), Pourda highlighted a 10% increase in Iranian oil exports compared to pre-war levels, despite the challenges posed by heavy bombardment.
Pourda elaborated that this increase in exports was achieved through enhanced oil loadings, leading to an 8-10% rise in exports compared to pre-war figures. He also mentioned that oil prices did not decline during this period; in fact, they increased. Consequently, the country's oil exports experienced growth throughout the Ramadan War.
The CEO emphasized that this performance underscores the resilience of Iran's oil industry, which managed to sustain production, loading, and export activities even under challenging circumstances.
