Lahj Governor Urges Southern and Eastern Residents to Avoid Saudi Mobilizations

Lahj:The Governor of Lahj, Ahmed Gharib, has reiterated a call for the residents of Yemen's southern and eastern governorates to distance themselves from Saudi-led military mobilizations. He emphasized that the Yemeni Armed Forces do not target these governorates' people, but rather focus on the Saudi military reinforcements, which are directed by Saudi officers to combat the Yemeni populace.

According to Yemen News Agency, Governor Gharib urged inhabitants in these regions to avoid engaging with Saudi military forces, emphasizing the importance of their safety. He implored them not to respond to Saudi calls and to refrain from joining Saudi-led camps, encouraging a return to their villages and cities.

He further explained that camps led by Saudi officers in the southern and eastern regions remain legitimate targets for the Yemeni Armed Forces. Gharib stressed the importance of avoiding these areas to prevent further casualties among Yemeni citizens misled into conflict.

The governor also appealed to the youth in the southern and eastern areas to reject recruitment efforts by the Saudi forces, which he described as proxies serving a colonial agenda. He highlighted the preciousness of Yemeni blood and criticized the Saudi enemy for exploiting Yemeni youth while leaders of the Islah party enjoy luxury abroad, away from conflict zones.

Gharib criticized the Saudi military for targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure in various parts of Yemen, including the capital Sanaa and the governorates of Hodeidah, Taiz, Al-Jawf, and Saada. He accused Saudi forces of depleting the youth in the southern governorates on multiple fronts.

He called on community leaders, including sheikhs, notables, clerics, and intellectuals, to resist the Saudi recruitment efforts and to prevent their sons from becoming involved in what he described as a proxy war for America and Israel. Gharib reinforced that the leadership in Sanaa, headed by Sayyid Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, insists that the southern and eastern governorates' people are not targets in the conflict.

Governor Gharib reaffirmed the Yemeni Armed Forces' commitment to lifting the siege that has caused extensive suffering across Yemen and to countering the Saudi military actions until the siege is lifted, aggression ceases, rights are secured, and national resources are reclaimed.
