Sana'a: The activities of the third annual Great Prophet Festival, organized by the Department of Jihadist Culture, kicked off yesterday in the capital governorate to commemorate the Prophet's birthday (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).

According to Yemen News Agency, the three-day festival includes numerous segments, including religious chanting, theatrical performances, and poetry readings. During the inauguration, Ansar Allah Political Bureau member Dhaifallah al-Shami emphasized the importance of drawing inspiration from the values and principles brought by the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) to enhance awareness of his life and stances in building the nation and establishing the values of solidarity, brotherhood, and responsibility. He pointed out that the Prophet and the Holy Quran are the most sacred things for the nation, and returning to them is the path to honor, victory, and empowerment.

He addressed the campaigns of misinformation that targeted the Prophet and his noble character, and the enemies' attempts to separate the nation from its Prophet through biased curricula and propaganda. He stressed that the occasion is an opportunity to reaffirm adherence to his morals and teachings and to be guided by his example in all aspects of life.

He noted that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) was sent to elevate the status of the nation and bring it out of darkness into light through the Holy Quran. He considered the celebration of this great religious occasion an embodiment of the close connection to the Prophet and his pure family. He called for widespread participation in the central events held by the Yemeni people on the 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal in Al-Sabeen Square and other public squares.

For his part, cultural activist Hussein Al-Jubain explained that the anniversary of the Prophet's birth is a spiritual and religious occasion to reinforce the Prophet's teachings and the values of love among members of society. He pointed out that the occasion is also a time for jihad and mobilization, from which people draw strength for resilience, unity, and steadfastness in confronting enemies and supporting the causes of the nation.

He clarified that this religious connection is manifested in honoring the birth of the noble Prophet, loving him, and emulating his generosity and benevolence, as well as remaining steadfast in the face of challenges in defense of the religion and the causes of the nation. The event included poetry recitations, songs, and cultural performances expressing joy at the arrival of the Prophet's birthday.
