Launch of Sacrificial Animal Project for Families of Martyrs in Ibb Governorate

Washington: The Foundation for the Care and Rehabilitation of Martyrs' Families in Ibb governorate launched the sacrificial animal project for the families of martyrs on the occasion of Eid al-Adha for the year 1447 AH. The project targets more than 1,700 families of martyrs in the governorate center and districts, through the distribution of 255 heads of livestock and cows, as part of the foundation's efforts to alleviate living burdens and bring joy to the families of martyrs during the days of Eid.

According to Yemen News Agency, during the launch, attended by the Director General of the Grievance Authority in the governorate, Yahya Al-Qasimi, the Director of the Martyrs Foundation branch in the governorate, Mohammed Al-Musawa, explained that the project focused on targeting the poorest and most needy families, ensuring that support reaches the most vulnerable groups. He pointed out that the General Foundation for the Care and Rehabilitation of Martyrs' Families contributed to providing 130 heads of livestock, while another 125 heads were provided through benefactors, in addition to a contribution of 13 cows from the local authority in the governorate and districts and a number of wealthy individuals.

Al-Musawa confirmed that the distribution process, which is nearly complete, was carried out through representatives of the foundation's branches in the districts, ensuring that the sacrificial meat reaches the targeted families easily and without hardship, praising the interaction of official, community, and charitable bodies that contributed to the success of the project this year. He called for increased attention to the families of martyrs and for meeting their living and humanitarian needs, noting that caring for the families of martyrs is a collective responsibility not limited to the foundation alone, but requires the concerted efforts of official bodies, civil society organizations, philanthropists, and the wealthy.

Al-Musawa affirmed that the sacrificial animal project embodies an aspect of loyalty and appreciation for the sacrifices of the martyrs who gave their lives in defense of the homeland, pointing out that the foundation is keen to implement seasonal and humanitarian projects that contribute to enhancing the living and psychological stability of the families of martyrs and alleviating their suffering in various circumstances.
