Sana'a: The Guidance Sector in Maeen district in the capital Sana'a convened an extensive meeting for scholars, preachers, and religious guides to honor the birth of Prophet Muhammad, bolster support for the Quran, and deliberate on recent developments.
According to Yemen News Agency, Capital Sana'a's assistant undersecretary, Sami Sharaf Al-Din, emphasized the significance of celebrating this occasion in ways that fortify the emotional and spiritual ties with the Quran and Prophet Muhammad. He encouraged adherence to the Prophet's teachings as a measure against challenges and what he termed as enemy plots against Yemen and the nation.
He urged the residents of Maeen district and the broader Sana'a community to participate en masse in the upcoming activities leading to the main celebration of the Prophet's birthday at Al-Sabeen Square.
Cultural activist Qasim Yahya Abu Awadha addressed misconceptions and misleading narratives that insult the Prophet and Islamic holy sites, labeling them part of a 'soft war' against the nation's faith, culture, and identity. He emphasized the importance of reinforcing connections with the Prophet and the Quran to combat these perceived attacks.
Abu Awadha also drew attention to the role of scholars, preachers, and religious guides in portraying the Prophet as depicted in the Quran-as a role model and guide for the nation and its youth.
Dr. Abdulkarim Jabhan, a cultural activist, highlighted the duty of scholars, preachers, and religious guides to confront perceived attacks on Islamic holy sites, including the Prophet and the Quran. He called for raising awareness about hostile plans targeting the nation and its sacred sites.
Jabhan urged the emulation of the Prophet's morals and values, advocating for the support of the vulnerable, and the defense of the nation's causes and holy sites. He also called for cohesive official and public efforts to ensure widespread participation in the central celebration on Rabi' al-Awwal 12.
Representing the scholars and preachers, Sheikh Abduljalil Hezbar stressed the importance of educating people about the life of Prophet Muhammad, reinforcing the Muhammadan approach and the Quran, and instilling the Prophet's religious and moral values among children and youth. He highlighted the role of scholars and preachers during the Prophet's birthday in presenting his life and eternal message as a symbol of mercy and guidance for humanity.
