Taiz:All main roads leading to and from Taiz city are open and secured by the Government of Change, according to Dr. Omar Al-Bukhaiti, a government spokesman. This development aims to facilitate civilian movement and ensure the transport of essential supplies such as food, medicine, and fuel.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Bukhaiti accused Saudi enemy forces of blocking these roads. He claimed that the Saudi forces had publicly announced the closure of 19 vital roads and crossings in Taiz and targeted vehicles traveling on them with airstrikes, while also attempting to distort the facts.
Al-Bukhaiti warned against the ongoing road closures and efforts to besiege the residents of Taiz for political and media purposes. He urged all parties to prioritize the public interest and avoid actions that could endanger the densely populated city.
He further stated that government agencies were striving to provide basic necessities and services across areas of Taiz that are under their control. Despite their readiness to supply the city with essential goods, they were being obstructed by Saudi-backed forces.
Al-Bukhaiti called on community leaders and influential figures in Taiz to cooperate with the official authorities to facilitate the delivery of essential supplies. This cooperation, he emphasized, would help break the siege and improve the situation for residents.
He reiterated that serving all residents of Taiz remains a top priority for the government. He accused Saudi enemy forces of obstructing aid deliveries, depriving residents of basic services and security, and exacerbating crises in areas under Saudi occupation.
