Majzar Unity Club Triumphs in Martyr Leader Cup for Marib Football Clubs

Sana'a: Majzar Unity Club won the 'Martyr Leader' Football Championship Cup for Marib Governorate clubs after defeating Al-Quds Club 2-0 in the final held at Al-Dhrafi Stadium in Sana'a.

According to Yemen News Agency, the match was evenly contested, with both teams exchanging quick attacks and displaying strong defensive organization throughout the first half and most of the second. In the final minutes, Majzar Unity broke the deadlock with two successive goals to secure the title.

At the conclusion, Marib Deputy Governor Daris Al-Maawadhi, Deputy General Mobilization Supervisor Hussein Abu Nab, Deputy Director of the Youth and Sports Office Nayef Al-Amir, Technical Supervisor Abdullah Al-Hajji, and Financial Supervisor Tu'aiman Ahmed Tu'aiman presented the championship cup and gold medals to Unity Club players, while Al-Quds Club received silver medals.

Al-Maawadhi congratulated Unity Club on its victory and Al-Quds Club on finishing second, praising the football and discipline demonstrated by all participating teams. He said the championship was held to honor and commemorate the legacy of the 'Martyr Leader,' while helping develop young talents, promote fair competition, and support the youth and sports sector in the governorate.

For his part, Hussein Abu Nab praised the technical level and sportsmanship displayed throughout the tournament, stressing the importance of sports activities in strengthening youth cohesion and developing their physical and mental capabilities.
