Mawlid Celebrations Continue in Shu’ub District, Sana’a

Sana'a: Mawlid celebrations and activities continued across Shu'ub District in the capital on Thursday, marking the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad's birth. Residents of several neighborhoods organized a series of commemorative evenings attended by local officials, community leaders, social figures, and mobilization officials.

According to Yemen News Agency, speakers stressed the importance of commemorating the occasion, drawing lessons from the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad, promoting his values and noble character among younger generations. They also called for broad participation in the central Mawlid celebration to be held on Rabi' al-Awwal 12 at Al-Sabeen Square, stressing that the event reflects the Yemeni people's love and attachment to the Prophet.

The activities included poetry, religious chants, awareness segments, educational seminars in neighborhood mosques, and community meetings highlighting the significance of the occasion and encouraging continued participation in related activities. Participants underscored the importance of coordinated official and community efforts to ensure the success of Mawlid events, to continue cultural, educational, and social activities throughout the district.
