Mayor Condemns Saudi Strike on Residential Area, Resulting in Civilian Casualties

Capital:The Mayor of the Capital, Dr. Hammoud Ubad, conducted an inspection on Sunday to assess the damage to a citizen's home caused by a Saudi aggression strike in the Bab Shu'ub area.

According to Yemen News Agency, the mayor condemned the Saudi attack, which led to the death of a child and injuries to six others, including a woman and another child. He described the incident as a war crime, adding to the series of atrocities committed against civilians, particularly women and children.

The mayor highlighted that this incident is part of a long-standing pattern of aggression by the Saudi forces against the Yemeni people, which has persisted for over 12 years. He pointed out the continuous targeting of homes, residential areas, schools, hospitals, and other civilian infrastructures in both the capital and the liberated governorates.

He attributed full responsibility to the Saudi aggression for these violations against civilians and civilian infrastructure, labeling these actions as clear breaches of international and humanitarian laws.

Dr. Ubad emphasized that such crimes would not be forgotten and would only bolster the Yemeni people's determination to resist the Saudi aggression and blockade. He also reiterated his support for the Armed Forces in adhering to the principle of "blockade for blockade and escalation for escalation," regardless of the sacrifices needed.
