Sana'a:Palestinian researcher and activist Dr. Mohammed Al-Buhaisi stated that the ongoing conflict in Yemen is intrinsically linked to Palestine's battle against the Zionist project and its supporters.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Buhaisi made these remarks during an intellectual seminar at Sana'a University commemorating the third anniversary of the Al-Aqsa Flood operation. He emphasized that efforts to incite sectarian divisions and split regional alliances have been unsuccessful.
In his presentation, titled "Al-Aqsa Flood and October 14 Regional and Global Fronts United Against the Zionist Narrative," Al-Buhaisi explained that Yemen plays a crucial role in the alliance of regional fronts, having supported Palestine from the beginning of the operation in pursuit of freedom and independence. He asserted that Yemen's involvement is a natural result of this unity.
Al-Buhaisi argued that the Zionist project, with its Jewish, Christian, and Arab elements, targets both Palestine and Yemen. He noted that the Al-Aqsa Flood aimed to awaken global conscience and transition the resistance from coordination to direct action.
Highlighting the centrality of Al-Quds in the national struggle, Al-Buhaisi traced its importance back to Palestinian resistance in the 1930s. He noted that despite attempts to fragment Palestinian and Arab fronts, the Al-Aqsa Flood operation succeeded in fostering national unity. He pointed to Hezbollah's engagement on October 8, 2023, as a significant move that prompted the relocation of Israeli settlers and the reallocation of Israeli military resources.
Despite Yemen's geographical distance and the blockade it faces, Al-Buhaisi praised its unprecedented support for Palestine. He detailed Yemen's strategic responses, including phases of escalation, maritime restrictions, and attacks reaching as far as the Mediterranean and Indian Oceans.
Al-Buhaisi dismissed physical distance and resource constraints as excuses for inaction, underscoring Yemen's example of overcoming such challenges through strategic and political determination. He concluded by reaffirming Yemen's commitment to jihad, resistance, and unwavering support for Palestine, asserting that the Yemeni leadership views Gaza and Sana'a as intertwined and that Yemen's support for Palestine has brought it divine aid. The struggle against American and Zionist dominance, he noted, continues.
