Bayda: An official meeting in Bayda governorate on Wednesday, chaired by Governor Abdullah Idris and Chairman of the Civil Defense Authority Maj. Gen. Ibrahim al-Mo'ayyed, focused on the comprehensive emergency plan and measures to enhance preparedness for potential risks.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting was attended by Deputy Police Director of the governorate Brig. Gen. Taher Al-Saqqaf and Assistant Commander of the Seventh Military Region Brig. Gen. Ahmed al-Ezzi. It reviewed the matrix of needs and procedures required to strengthen the civil defense's ability to respond to emergency situations.
Participants examined practical mechanisms for implementing preventive measures aimed at reducing human and material losses, along with the roles of executive offices and relevant agencies within a unified framework designed to boost readiness and rapid response.
Governor Idris stressed the need to enhance the preparedness of civil defense teams and improve coordination with relevant authorities to ensure swift response to all emergencies. He emphasized the importance of providing the necessary resources to safeguard citizens.
For his part, the President of the Civil Defense Authority, Maj. Gen. al-Mo'ayyed, stated that the authority is working continuously to raise readiness levels, follow up on emergency plan implementation, meet the needs of its centers, and update emergency and preventive measures to minimize losses and disaster impacts.
The meeting concluded with calls for stronger cooperation between official bodies and the local community to enhance readiness and preparedness, contributing to reducing damage and protecting lives and property.
