Hodeida: A meeting held in Hodeida province on Tuesday focused on developing mechanisms to improve the marketing of agricultural products in Tihama region, aiming to increase farmers' economic returns and reduce waste.
According to Yemen News Agency, key officials, including the Minister of Economy and the Governor of Hodeida, discussed the challenges faced by farmers in distributing their crops, particularly fruits and vegetables. Special attention was given to the mango crop, with proposals to establish a juice factory to process surplus produce.
The meeting also recommended expanding Bajel factory and enhancing collaboration with agricultural associations and local authorities to boost marketing efforts. A vision will be submitted to the Ministry of Economy and Industry, outlining solutions to absorb surplus agricultural production and ensure economic sustainability for farmers.
