Accra:Sana'a The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has forecasted scattered rainfall in several regions due to a low-pressure area centered southwest of the Arabian Sea, which is moving in a west-northwestward direction.
According to Yemen News Agency, the center has predicted thunderstorms of varying intensity, accompanied by strong downdraft winds, particularly affecting the Socotra Archipelago and the Gulf of Aden.
The forecast includes the possibility of scattered rain, occasionally accompanied by thunder, over parts of the eastern and southern coasts, adjacent inland areas, and parts of the Hajjah, Al-Mahwit, Raymah, and Ibb governorates. Furthermore, strong winds ranging from 15 to 20 knots, with gusts up to 30 knots, are expected to cause rough seas around the Socotra Archipelago and in the Gulf of Aden.
The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has issued warnings to fishermen and ship captains, advising them against taking risks by sailing in these areas due to the expected adverse weather conditions. Residents of the Socotra Archipelago have also been cautioned about potential thunderstorms and advised to avoid flood channels.
