Sanaa: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates held a commemorative event marking the annual anniversary of the 'Martyr of the Quran,' Hussein Badr al-Din al-Houthi, under the slogan 'The Martyr Leader: Man of the Era and Companion of the Quran.'

According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. Abdulrahim Al-Hamran, President of Saada University, highlighted key milestones in al-Houthi's life, noting his upbringing under his father, scholar Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and his commitment to Islamic knowledge, jihad, and sacrifice. He emphasized al-Houthi's foresight in analyzing global events, including his critique of U.S. policies post-September 11, and his advocacy for a cultural revolution based on the Quran, strategic slogans, and economic boycotts.

Ambassador Nabil al-Ghouli, Deputy Minister for Political Affairs, described the commemoration as a reminder to draw guidance from the Quran and remain steadfast in facing challenges. He said the achievements Yemen enjoys today, including its stance in supporting Gaza, are fruits of the Quranic project continued by the current leader, Abdul Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi.

Yahya Abu Awadah, member of Ansar Allah Executive Office, called al-Houthi a guiding figure whose Quranic project transcended sectarian and partisan divisions, achieving military, economic, and human development successes. Taha al-Hadari, Secretary-General of the Yemeni Scholars Association, noted that al-Houthi's strategic vision rejected appeasement, emphasized sovereignty and self-sufficiency, and set a model for Arab and Islamic foreign ministries.
