Sanaa:The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates affirmed that the principle of reciprocity dictates the nature of the military response to the Saudi regime at this stage.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Ministry noted the impact of the continued aggression since the targeting of Sanaa Airport earlier this year, resulting in dozens of martyrs, hundreds of wounded, and significant infrastructure damage in Yemen. This has compelled the Yemeni Armed Forces to respond.
The Ministry criticized the Saudi regime for ignoring demands to lift the blockade and cease targeting Sanaa International Airport over the past 12 years, despite calls from the United Nations. It pointed out that the airport had already been subjected to extensive raids prior to the Zionist-led strikes on the facility.
The Ministry suggested that lifting the blockade and ending hostilities would be less costly for Saudi Arabia than the strategic damage incurred by continued aggression. It advised airlines flying to Saudi airports to coordinate with the Yemeni Humanitarian Operations Center to avoid moral and legal liability.
Furthermore, the Ministry accused Qatar of complicity in the suffering of the Yemeni people due to its hostile political and media activities. It criticized Qatar's shift from its traditional mediating role to aligning with Saudi Arabia, warning that this stance could harm Qatar. The Ministry urged Qatar to reconsider its position and highlighted the flawed stance of the United Nations and its envoy, which it claims legitimizes Saudi actions in Yemen.
The Ministry warned that unless Saudi Arabia ceases its aggression and interference in Yemen, more severe consequences are inevitable. It called for pressure to be applied on Saudi Arabia to halt its actions, warning that failure to do so will result in increased repercussions, with Saudi distress defining the forthcoming period.
The statement concluded by highlighting the Saudi regime's transformation of the Bab al-Mandab Strait into a military confrontation zone, criticizing the international community for not expressing concern, which it claims exposes the true intentions of those opposing Yemen's sovereignty.
