Sana'a: The Deputy Ministers of Culture and Tourism for the Copyrights and Intellectual Property Sector, Abdulmalik Al-Qatta', and for the Arts and Theater Sector, Ali Al-Mu'ayyad, opened the "Smart Child" Book and Educational Toys Fair, organized by the Sheherazade Cultural Foundation in partnership with the Libyan Commercial Center. According to Yemen News Agency, the fair, held under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and lasting four days, aims to develop children's intellectual and creative abilities, and to foster a love of reading and learning by providing a diverse range of educational books, purposeful stories, and smart toys that develop mental and motor skills and support creative thinking and innovation. At the opening ceremony, attended by Shura Council member Noor Ba'abad, the Deputy Ministers Al-Qatta' and Al-Mu'ayyad emphasized the importance of holding such fairs targeting children, for their educational and scientific benefits and their role in developing creative faculti es. They expressed their delight at what they saw at the fair, including books and modern educational tools targeting children, contributing to raising their awareness and developing their faculties and creativity. They stressed the importance of inoculating generations from childhood against attempts to target and culturally invade the nation's children. For her part, the President of the Sheherazade Cultural Foundation, Dr. Mona Al-Mahaqri, stressed the importance of this distinctive cultural and educational event that combines knowledge and entertainment in an inspiring environment for children and their families. She explained that the fair includes the latest releases of children's books and educational and interactive games suitable for different age groups, contributing to building a conscious and creative generation capable of learning, exploration, and shaping the future, considering this fair a gateway for children to a world of knowledge, creativity, and enjoyable learning. She pointed to the imp ortance of the fair, which coincides with preparations for the new academic year, for its benefits that contribute to expanding reading culture by encouraging children to acquire books and cultural magazines of their own, as well as modern educational tools and technologies. She noted the Sheherazade Cultural Foundation's commitment, through organizing such fairs, to inoculate and protect children from any cultural infiltration and ensure their adherence to their national and faith identity. She praised the efforts of all those who contributed to sponsoring and organizing this fair, foremost among them the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the General Authority for Small and Micro Enterprise Development, and other commercial companies and institutions, pointing out that this fair represents an effective model of partnership between non-profit civil society organizations and the commercial and cultural sectors.
