Sana'a: The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has forecasted varying and scattered rainfall over parts of the mountainous highlands, along with hot to extremely hot weather in deserts, plateaus, plains, and coastal areas during the next 48 hours.
According to Yemen News Agency, the weather bulletin issued by the center indicates that rainfall of varying intensity, sometimes accompanied by thunderstorms, is anticipated over parts of the governorates of Taiz, Ibb, Raymah, western Dhamar, Al Mahwit, and Hajjah.
Scattered rainfall may also occur over parts of the highlands of Al Dhalea and Lahj governorates, as well as the western parts of Saada, Amran, and Sana'a, and sections of the Tihama Plain. In contrast, the deserts, inland plateaus, plains, and coastal areas are expected to experience hot to extremely hot weather conditions.
The center has issued warnings to citizens in areas likely to receive rainfall about potential flash floods in ravines and valleys. It advises caution against being present in or crossing flood paths during and after rainfall.
Additionally, the center cautions residents of the deserts, inland plateaus, plains, and coastal areas about the dangers of hot and extremely hot weather. It recommends increasing fluid intake and avoiding direct exposure to sunlight during midday hours.
