Sana'a:Researcher Helal Mohammed Al-Bahri was awarded a PhD with distinction in Business Administration from the Business Administration Center for Graduate Studies at Sana'a University.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Bahri's dissertation was titled "The Role of Strategic Orientation in Achieving Competitive Advantage through Organizational Capabilities A Field Study of Private Hospitals in the Capital, Sana'a." The examination committee, chaired by internal examiner Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Mikhlafi, along with external examiner Dr. Mujahid Al-Mashraqi and principal supervisor Dr. Mohammed Al-Ashwal, praised the dissertation's scientific rigor, methodology, and practical findings.
The study recommended the adoption of the Balanced Scorecard model in private hospitals as a strategic management tool linked to quantifiable performance indicators, which translates strategic goals into actionable, trackable data. It also called for the establishment of specialized administrative units to analyze patient feedback and convert complaints into immediate service improvements.
The defense was attended by the Director of the Business Administration Center, Dr. Sinan Al-Marhadi, alongside several academics and researchers.
