Sana’a University Partners with Project Financing Unit for Agricultural Initiatives

Sana'a: Sana'a University signed a strategic partnership agreement with the Project and Initiative Financing Unit for Agricultural and Fisheries Projects at the Capital Secretariat on Tuesday. The agreement, signed by Sana'a University President Dr. Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti and Executive Director of the Agricultural and Fisheries Project Financing Unit, Engineer Abdul Malik Al-Ansi, aims to merge the university's academic and research expertise with the government's operational capabilities to foster a future grounded in knowledge and innovation.

According to Yemen News Agency, the agreement focuses on directing applied scientific research to support economic empowerment projects, improve livelihoods, and provide technical support and training to qualify specialized personnel. This initiative aims to enable individuals to implement pioneering projects, create sustainable job opportunities through funded initiatives, and enhance productive capacities in the agricultural and fisheries sectors.

Dr. Al-Bukhaiti commended the partnership and cooperation with the Capital Secretariat, represented by the Agricultural and Fisheries Project Financing Unit. He described it as a significant step toward enhancing food security and effectively utilizing national competencies to support programs aimed at achieving comprehensive agricultural and developmental progress.

Engineer Al-Ansi emphasized the collaboration as an opportunity to leverage Sana'a University as a 'national center of expertise' to achieve local development in the agricultural and fisheries sectors and support economic empowerment projects.
