Second Phase of Community Initiative Projects Launched in Amran

Amran: The Central Interventions Unit at the Ministry of Local and Rural Administration and Development, in coordination with the Local Authority in Amran Governorate, has launched the second phase of supporting Community Initiatives Projects. This phase includes the provision of 12,000 bags of cement and 63,000 liters of diesel as part of the fourth batch within the program aimed at supporting these initiatives.

According to Yemen News Agency, the Director of Community Initiatives in Amran, Hashem Al-Raidi, stated that this phase is a continuation of ongoing efforts to support community projects that provide services and enhance local development. The current support targets 350 community initiatives across various directorates. Al-Raidi highlighted that the resources allocated are part of the first and second phases, acknowledging the role of the Central Interventions Unit in fostering development and mobilizing society in essential sectors such as water, education, roads, and health.

Additionally, Al-Raidi noted that the Prime Minister recently inaugurated several community initiative projects worth two billion riyals. He expressed gratitude for the ongoing support from both the local authority and the central unit.

Abdulrahman Al-Wadi, Deputy Director of Amran Cement Factory for Financial Affairs, reported that the General Cement Corporation supplied the necessary cement quantities to support key projects. Al-Wadi commended the local community’s engagement with these initiatives and emphasized the need for continued support to facilitate new projects and achieve further progress across various sectors.

Public Relations and Media Director at the Interventions Unit, Marwan Al-Sharif, outlined that this support is in line with the directives of the Revolutionary and Political Leadership. It is executed under the auspices of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Administration and Local and Rural Development, aiming to ensure the success of community initiatives and sustainable development in the governorate.
