Shura Council Denounces Israeli Violations in Gaza and Lebanon

Sana'a: The Main Committee of the Shura Council convened a meeting led by Speaker Mohammed Hussein Al-Aidaroos, with Deputy Speakers Abdu Al-Jundi and Dhaifallah Rassam in attendance.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting commenced with the recitation of the Fatiha to honor the late Shura Council member, Mohammed Al-Tuwaiti, acknowledging his contributions to the nation.

The committee expressed strong condemnation of the Zionist aggression in the Gaza Strip and southern Lebanon. In an official statement, the Committee highlighted that the occupying force's actions violate ceasefire agreements and international conventions, showing a blatant disregard for UN resolutions and international norms.

The Committee emphasized that the occupying force's military escalation and targeting of civilian infrastructure, despite existing agreements, reveal its treacherous nature and disregard for international peace and security. This ongoing aggression challenges the global community to take action against such defiance.

During the meeting, attended by heads, deputies, rapporteurs of standing committees, and Secretary-General Ali Abdul-Mughni, the committee discussed the Council's committees' activity plan for 1448 AH. The plan covers themes such as economic resilience, institutional reform, justice, public services, parliamentary diplomacy, digital transformation, and community engagement.

The Committee stressed the need for integrated efforts to implement the plan's guidelines per directives from the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council. This aims to enhance the Council's advisory role and improve institutional performance for the upcoming phase.

The committee tasked standing committees to develop their plans for 1448 AH within two weeks, adhering to the current phase's requirements. It also called for prompt preparation of evaluation reports on the 1447 AH plans for submission to the Council's Presidency.

The Committee praised Council members for their field efforts and active participation in visits to governorates, reflecting the Council's support for national resilience. It noted members' engagement with summer centers and community activities during Ramadan and Shawwal, urging continued community interaction and engagement.

Lastly, the committee reviewed and approved the minutes of its previous meeting and the items on the agenda.
