Al-jawf: The Social Nationalist Party has issued a strong condemnation following an attack by what it terms the "Saudi enemy" on the Central Correctional Facility in Al-Hazm city, Al-Jawf Governorate. The assault resulted in the injury and death of 14 inmates, including a child and a woman, as reported in a preliminary toll.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Party's statement highlighted that the targeting of a civilian facility, which serves no military purpose, stands in stark contradiction to humanitarian values and principles, international humanitarian law, and the ethical rules of conflict. The Party emphasized that the preservation of national dignity and the protection of Yemeni lives are paramount and should not be compromised or subjected to political negotiations.
In its warning, the Social Nationalist Party cautioned Saudi Arabia against relying on international alliances or employing domestic agents, strategies that have historically proven ineffective. The Party asserted that such approaches only lead to increased complexity and resource depletion.
The statement further underscored the importance of safeguarding Yemen's security, sovereignty, and independence. It justified the Yemeni Armed Forces' preemptive actions, including deterrence against enemy mobilizations and weapon shipments, as legitimate self-defense measures. The Party reaffirmed its commitment to preventing Yemeni land and waters from becoming battlefields, adhering to the principle of "siege for siege."
