Sana'a: Socotra governor Hashem al-Socotri and Judge Abdo Rajeh, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights for the Courts Sector, convened in the capital to discuss the pressing issues facing Socotra Governorate, currently under Emirati, Saudi, and American occupation. The meeting focused on measures to safeguard the judicial system and ensure citizens' rights are upheld in the face of ongoing difficulties.
According to Yemen News Agency, the discussions centered on preserving the judicial records in Socotra and addressing the challenges faced by the courts sector. Key topics included monitoring the situation of judiciary personnel in the governorate and strategizing on handling cases that arise from violations by occupying forces.
Governor Hashem al-Socotri expressed his gratitude for the Ministry of Justice's efforts in maintaining judicial operations. He acknowledged the support provided by the Revolutionary Leadership, the Supreme Political Council, and the Ministry in dealing with the challenges posed by the occupation.
Judge Abdo Rajeh reiterated the Ministry's commitment to supporting Socotra and its residents. He emphasized the importance of following up on judicial matters to ensure the governorate's legal system remains functional despite the occupation.
