Sana'a: The Faculties of Medicine and Health Sciences, Applied Medical Sciences, and Pharmacy at Sana'a University, in cooperation with the University Student Forum, organized a speech event on the occasion of the Prophet's Birthday, during which new students were received and the first ones were honored.
According to Yemen News Agency, the President of the University, Dr. Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti, praised the steadfastness of the academic staff and students in the face of challenges, stressing the importance of consolidating noble values and protecting students from extraneous ideas. He highlighted the role of medical colleges in serving the community and improving the health situation through education and scientific research. Dr. Al-Bukhaiti also commended the participation of university students in the activities supporting Gaza and the weekly marches in the university square.
The deans of the colleges spoke about the importance of the occasion in promoting awareness and consolidating educational and cultural values. Cultural activist Osama Al-Mahtouri called for following the example of the Holy Prophet, while Sakhr Al-Humaidi, the representative of the University Student Forum, emphasized the importance of celebrating the Prophet's birthday in honor of the Prophet's place.
The event, attended by the university's leaders and faculty members, included poems, cultural and hymnal segments.
