Sana'a: Sana'a University organized an angry student stand in support of the Qur'an and Al-Aqsa Mosque, in solidarity with Lebanon and in affirmation of readiness. Participants raised copies of the Holy Qur'an and chanted slogans condemning the silence and inaction of the Muslim world in response to alleged crimes by 'global Zionism' and its tools, targeting the holiest sanctities through the burning of the Holy Qur'an and the desecration of Al-Aqsa Mosque, reflecting, as they stated, deep-rooted hostility toward Islam and its symbols.
According to Yemen News Agency, participants explained that these actions are not isolated incidents, but rather come within the framework of an openly declared hostility by 'global Zionism' and its so-called American, British, Israeli extensions toward Islam and Muslims, as part of a comprehensive hostile campaign aimed at humiliating the nation, subjugating it, and distancing it from the Holy Qur'an in order to strip it of its sources of strength and enable domination over it.
During the event, the President of the University, Dr. Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti, affirmed that the participation of Sana'a University members stems from religious responsibility and faith-based identity, expressing categorical rejection of what he described as repeated and systematic insults to the Holy Qur'an carried out by Jews through the criminal Zionist movement and its supporters, and by what he called 'the leaders of disbelief,' the United States and Israel, as part of an explicit hostile campaign against Islam and Muslims.
He expressed regret over what he described as the weakness, fragility, and unprecedented silence, abandonment of Arab, Islamic leaderships and peoples, whose emotions and consciences have not been stirred to support the Holy Qur'an and Al-Aqsa Mosque or confront Zionist plans targeting the nation.
The statement issued by the gathering stressed that the repeated insults to Allah's Book by Zionists and their followers reveal their true nature, and that the Qur'an is the means that can liberate Islamic peoples and all humanity from the chains of humiliation and submission if the nation returns to it.
It pointed to Zionist plans aimed at insulting the Qur'an and distancing people from it, emphasizing the urgent need for the Muslim nation to sincerely return to the Qur'an as a way of life, conduct, and struggle.
The statement called on all Arab, Islamic governments, peoples to break their silence and engage in struggle in Allah's path against what it described as the 'Zionist satanic project' that targets them before others, openly declaring hostility toward Islam, the Qur'an, and the Prophet, violating sanctities, killing people, and working to reshape the Middle East and establish the so-called 'Greater Israel.'
It noted that the greatest danger lies in neglect and complacency, allowing the enemies of Allah and the Qur'an to implement their hostile plans. If the nation fails to act while its most sacred values are being targeted, this would embolden its enemies further and may lead, as stated, to divine punishment.
The statement praised the sacrifices of the Yemeni people, who have remained present in the field of struggle, bearing the banner of Islam, and consistently taking supportive positions for the Qur'an, the Prophet, and Islam, remaining steadfast in truth with pride, dignity, and resilience, responding to the call of duty and truth, and refusing to remain silent in the face of ongoing insults and campaigns.
It also called on all members of the educational and university sectors across various countries to fulfill their major responsibility of leading the battle of awareness, identity, to serve as a key driver for the renaissance of the nation and as role models for their societies.
