Taiz:The Governor of Taiz, Ahmed Al-Masawi, alongside the Acting Executive Director of the Yemeni Oil Company, Mohammed Al-Lakoumi, has directed the branch of the oil company in the governorate to ensure the availability of petroleum derivatives to service stations located in the center of Taiz city. This directive involves implementing direct sales to these stations, similar to existing practices in other liberated areas.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Masawi and Al-Lakoumi stated that this initiative aims to organize the supply process, enhance stability, and ensure that gasoline and diesel are delivered to the stations through a transparent mechanism, all under the supervision of the Yemeni Oil Company's branch in the governorate.
The directive also includes provisions for transferring previously purchased petroleum quantities by some stations, particularly those located in the Al-Farshah area of Lahj Governorate, through a recognized commercial entity. This involves coordinating transport and delivery operations to various stations in Taiz city, ensuring that the process remains under the control and supervision of the Oil Company's branch in the governorate.
The officials highlighted the importance of organizing transportation to prioritize citizens' safety and prevent tragic accidents linked to unregulated storage and handling of petroleum derivatives. They recalled the Al-Masbah neighborhood fire disaster on May 25, 2015, which resulted from actions by the Saudi enemy's reinforcements and mercenaries, causing significant losses and suffering.
Al-Masawi and Al-Lakoumi emphasized the need to follow safety procedures, organize transport, unloading, and distribution operations, and ensure that the petroleum derivatives reach the target stations under the supervision of the Yemeni Oil Company's branch. This approach aims to mitigate risks, protect lives and property, and consistently meet citizens' needs for petroleum derivatives.
