Taiz:Shiekhs and tribes from the Saber Al-Mawadim district in Taiz province conducted an armed tribal gathering on Thursday to initiate a campaign of mobilization in response to Saudi escalation. Participants expressed their readiness to confront Saudi aggression and defend Yemen's sovereignty.
According to Yemen News Agency, the event was attended by Deputy Governor Mohammed al-Husseini, Saber Al-Mawadim District Director Abdulraouf al-Azzani, along with local and military leaders, as well as social figures. They emphasized that the mobilization supports the Yemeni people's victories and reaffirms their commitment to confronting Saudi military actions in defense of the country and its independence.
The rally participants condemned ongoing Saudi actions against civilians, asserting that such acts would not deter the Yemeni people and their tribes from their religious and principled stances or their support for significant Arab and Muslim causes, particularly the Palestinian cause.
Additionally, the gathering reiterated the tribes' support for the armed forces and their commitment to follow the revolutionary leadership. They upheld the principle of "blockade for blockade and escalation for escalation" until the blockade is lifted, aggression ends, and Yemen's rights and resources are restored.
The tribes also called on those supporting Saudi-backed forces to take advantage of the general amnesty, return to the right path, and cease participation in the conflict against their fellow Yemenis.
Furthermore, the rally affirmed the tribes' dedication to supporting Islamic holy sites and Al-Aqsa Mosque amidst Israeli violations, while condemning the silence and normalization efforts of some Arab governments.
Commemorating the first anniversary of Major General Mohammed Abdulkarim al-Ghamari's martyrdom, the rally renewed its pledge to honor his legacy and continue his mission. The tribes also congratulated the Palestinian people and resistance in Gaza on the third anniversary of the Al-Aqsa Flood operation, highlighting its significance in exposing the fragility of the Israeli entity.
