Taiz: Cultural evenings were held on Wednesday in the al-Badw, al-Salami, and al-Shuwaifa sub-districts of Khadir district, Taiz governorate, to commemorate the Day of al-Wilayah (Guardianship) under the slogan "Whoever I am his master, then this Ali is his master."
According to Yemen News Agency, the events, attended by Shura Council member Mohammed Hanash and other local officials, took place in various squares, including Al-Rahibah, Al-Damna, Al-Haqeeba, and Najd Mara. Speeches delivered during the events emphasized the religious significance of the Day of al-Wilayah and the revered status of Imam Ali, peace be upon him.
Speakers at the gatherings highlighted the importance of instilling the principle of guardianship in the hearts of the nation, noting that Imam Ali's guardianship serves as a continuous source of guidance and protection against division, misguidance, and tyrannical influences.
The addresses further stressed that sincere allegiance, as commanded by God, is vital in safeguarding the nation from its enemies. The virtues, struggles, and Quranic morals of Imam Ali, nurtured by the Prophet, were underscored, with speakers explaining that the nation's current weaknesses are a result of neglecting this divine principle.
