Tax and Customs Authority Discusses Cooperation on Document Preservation with National Archive

Sanaa: Acting Head of the Tax and Customs Authority Dr. Ibrahim Mahdi met with Director of the National Center for Documents, Abdullah al-Siyani, to discuss joint cooperation in preserving and organizing historical records and archival documents. The meeting focused on advancing the collaboration between the two institutions to ensure the effective preservation of important documents.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting reviewed preparations for launching the second phase of a project aimed at organizing and preserving accumulated documents within the authority. This initiative aligns with an agreed implementation mechanism designed to manage the legacy archive effectively. Officials highlighted the successful completion of the first phase of the project, which was carried out in coordination with the National Center for Documents. This phase achieved its objectives by systematically organizing and preserving records according to scientific standards.

Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to continued cooperation and underscored the significance of leveraging the center's expertise in archival preservation and documentation management. This ongoing collaboration aims to enhance the management and preservation of historical records, ensuring they remain accessible and well-organized for future reference.
