Technical and Vocational Institutes’ Final Exams Commence in Capital Secretariat and Provinces

Sanaa: The Minister of Education and Scientific Research, Hassan Al-Saadi, inaugurated the final ministerial theoretical exams for technical and vocational institute students in the Capital Secretariat and provinces for the academic year 1446 AH. A total of 5,245 students from 65 government and private institutes across 11 provinces are participating in the exams, distributed among 23 centers, including 1,557 female students.

According to Yemen News Agency, the exams cover 70 specializations in fields such as medical, engineering, industrial, technical, vocational, agricultural, and commercial, totaling 279 theoretical subjects. The tests are conducted at three levels: a technical diploma (4,118 students), a vocational secondary diploma (369 students), and a professional diploma (758 students).

Minister Al-Saadi, along with several undersecretaries and the Director of Technical Education, inspected the progress of exams at the Yemeni-Chinese Institute of Applied Sciences and Arwa Commercial Institute for Girls. They reviewed the discipline in examination halls and efforts to provide a suitable environment for smooth exam conduct.

Briefings were received from the Dean of the Yemeni-Chinese Institute, Abdulrabah Al-Talou', and the head of the examination center at Arwa Commercial Institute, Najwa Al-Rab', about exam procedures and student distribution according to the ministerial plan. Minister Al-Saadi praised all efforts in preparing and implementing the exams and expressed hope for qualitative development in technical education.

Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research Dr. Hatem Al-Duais also reviewed the progress at Baghdad Technical and Industrial Institute. Accompanied by ministry officials, he was briefed on exam procedures and student distribution. Dr. Al-Duais commended the readiness of examination centers and adherence to the ministerial plan, emphasizing the role of faculty and staff in maintaining an organized environment for exams.

He affirmed the ministry's commitment to supporting the examination process, considering it a national responsibility to ensure the success of technical and vocational education amid challenges to the education sector.
